The Awakening III-Rebirthby `CygX1

Digital Art / Fractal Art

The idea of rebirth, or continuous regeneration of a world as we see it, was given to me by ~AmazeMe on The Awakening II-Crystal Tower. Thanks a lot for this idea!

This reminded me of many good sci-fi books, including "Inverted world" by Christopher Priest (the theme is a little bit different, but in this book the world around us is constantly modified, the ground and hills are moving etc..., for a good reason).

The Awakening III is my own vision of a self-regenerating world, but of course, like any graphic work, it can have a lot of other interpretations.

Update 11/25/2008: New rendering, improved image quality.

Update 12/21/2008: 1.25 aspect ratio, 3000x2400 print available.

Update 09/20/2009: 1.50 aspect ratio, 5400x3600 fine art print available.
